Bam Family | Touwsrivier

The road to Touwsrivier cuts through dry, open country — wide skies, warm light, and a kind of stillness that settles in your chest.

I arrived at the Bam family farm in the early afternoon. It’s quiet, spacious, and unmistakably farm life. Chickens roam freely. Peacocks strut across the yard. A few scrappy cats stretch out in the shade. Cows graze near the edges of the vineyard. No rush. Just air and space.

Then — energy. The kids come running, full of questions and stories. The twins and their brother don’t get many visitors, and they’re ready to make the most of it. We explore the property, play, climb trees, and pause every so often to catch a breath — and a photo.

This wasn’t a styled session or posed shoot. Just a real afternoon on the farm. Which is exactly what made it work.
